How does the MLB playoff bracket work?
The MLB playoff format is similar to other professional sports, in how the brackets seed does work properly? The 12 highest seed competing in the playoffs two conferences since 2022. Three division winners and three wild card teams clinched the playoff in each conference. Top two division winners in each conference receive a bye week home-field advantage to the Division Series. The third-place team and the other three wild card teams make the Wild Card Series as seed no. 3-6.
