How does the NFL playoff seeds work?
In the two conferences 14 teams playoff field since 2021. Each Conference champion received a bye week in home-field advantage to the divisional round. Four division winners seeded No. 1-4 and the other ranked teams seeded 5-7. The 12 teams set up six wild card games and scheduled No. 5 seed to face off No. 4 seed, No. 7 face off No. 2 and the No. 3 face off No 6. The No. 1 seed will play a divisional round against the lowest seed in each conference per side. Winners advanced to the Super Bowl Lix in Louisiana.
